John Duffy

Director of Strategic Partnerships, The Eleos Foundation John Duffy is an investment professional with over 30 years of experience. He has been involved in the field of social impact investing for over 10 years. He was a partner in Goodwell Investments, a microfinance venture capital fund, was a board member of Social Fusion, a SME incubator, and has advised several double bottom line business ventures.

Formerly Mr. Duffy was an advisor to Geneva Global, a professional services firm for international philanthropy, as well as the Executive Director and a Board Member of Net Impact, an international network of MBA students committed to social entrepreneurship. He has been a business plan judge for competitions at Stanford Business School and UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

He co-founded a wireless communications company after working for a previous start up wireless business. He was a Senior Vice President with Drexel Burnham Lambert and a Vice President with Dean Witter Reynolds. Before his Wall Street career he managed a 60 person task force for Transamerica Computer Corporation on the first computer based litigation in United States history. Mr. Duffy also worked as a Community Organizer with Michigan Legal Services after completing his service with the Peace Corps.
